ANDALUSIA - Just like in Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands and many other autonomous regions, the coronapas obligation in bars and restaurants came to an end on Tuesday 15 February in Andalusia. From now on, anyone can enter the indoor areas of bars, restaurants and night catering without any form of vaccination, recovery or test proof.
The corona pass applied in the autonomous region of Andalusia to the catering industry (bars and restaurants inside), night catering, when visiting hospitals and retirement centers. The coronapas obligation was temporarily introduced in Andalusia on December 20, 2021. Last January 25, the coronapas obligation was extended until February 15, but a new extension was not requested by the regional government.
That is why the obligation to show a corona pass no longer applies since Tuesday 15 February. All corona figures are falling in Andalusia and so there is no longer a need for the corona pass in the catering industry, among other things. According to the regional health minister, the coronapas obligation has ensured that 290,000 Andalusians have been vaccinated after all.
