Orihuela Costa is a coastal region located on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. It is close to the border with Murcia, near La Manga and the beautiful Mar Menor. Despite its name, it is actually about 20 kilometers away from the main resort of Orihuela.
The region includes several seaside resorts including Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Campoamor and Mil Palmeras.
Orihuela Costa is an ideal destination for those seeking a family beach holiday, with 16 kilometers of varied coastline. It is also an excellent choice for golf holidays; in fact Orihuela Costa is well equipped for all needs, with many amenities, facilities and leisure attractions.
Area by area
The seaside town of Cabo Roig is located on the south side of the Costa Blanca in Orihuela Costa. The charming town is home to several Blue Flag beaches and enjoys a spectacular mountainous backdrop. Just 10 kilometers from Torrevieja, the town itself has wide palm-lined avenues and beautiful lush gardens, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the peninsula of La Manga and Mar Menor.
The quiet urbanization of Playa Flamenca is close to the lively town of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca. The area is home to beautiful beaches, golf and numerous recreational facilities such as water parks, tennis, karting and tennis.
Close again to Torrevieja is the popular resort of La Zenia. Campoamor is an excellent location for those wishing to appreciate an element of real Spanish culture. The breathtaking scenery, green forests and beautiful beaches make Campoamor a prime destination on the Orihuela Costa for tourists.
The prestigious Villamartin golf project is located just south of Alicante on the Orihuela Costa.
